Free Tarot Reading: Pick a Card, Get an Honest Answer
Discover guidance and clarity through the ancient wisdom of tarot cards. Your journey to self-discovery begins here.
Choose Your Reading
Nine free tarot readings live on this page, and every one of them handles a different kind of question. Holding one clear question? Open with Yes/No. After the wider picture? The Three Card spread fits better. Nothing here costs anything, and none of the tools makes you register. Read on and you’ll find my account of exactly how each tool picks its cards.
The Short Answer
- Free and instant covers all nine readings. Not one of them wants an email address or a phone number.
- Chance picks the cards, the same way a shuffled deck would pick them. Your energy and your birth chart stay out of it, and no tool here claims otherwise.
- One thing a free reading does well: it nudges you to view your question from another angle. Dates and event predictions are beyond it.
- Unsure where to begin? The free 3-card tarot reading is the place to start. One direct question goes to the free yes or no tarot reading.
- A session with a person is a different product, and you want one when the question is tangled, pulls in other people, or carries heavy stakes. The difference gets explained further down.
Begin with these two readings
Three Card: past, present, future. Three positions take three cards from the complete 78-card deck. Where I would send you first is this reading. How the situation reached this point, where it sits now, and which way it moves if nothing changes all come into view together. No single card can hold that much.
Yes / No. Yes, no or maybe: one card, one answer. Save it for questions that are genuinely two-sided. “Should I send the message?” fits. “What does he feel about me?” does not. That second shape of question calls for a spread.
Which free tarot reading should you choose?
Let your actual question do the choosing; the reading’s name should carry no weight.
If your question is… | Use this reading | Cards drawn |
“Should I…?” or “Will it…?” | 1
“What’s going on here, and where is it heading?” | 3
One question, answered in your own words | 1
“What should I keep in mind today?” | 1
“Where does my love life stand today?” | 1
“What should I watch for at work today?” | 1
“What part of me needs attention?” | Wellness tarot (body, mind, spirit) | 3 |
“Something feels off. Where do I start?” | 4
“What is this year asking of me?” | 13 |
The question I hear most often never made that list. It concerns a relationship, and usually one named person inside it. Four readings exist for precisely that:
- Will my ex come back?
- Does he regret losing me?
- What are his feelings for me?
- What does he think of me?
Broader territory gets its own pick-a-card readings too: life path, love and relationships, career and success and family each have one, for life areas instead of single questions.
How does each free tarot reading draw its cards?
Knowing how the choice happens should come before the draw itself, I think. What each tool on this page really does is set out below. Every one of them I verified by running its code on 6 October 2026.
Reading | Deck | How the card is chosen | Reversed cards |
Three Card | All 78 cards | Shuffled. Three separate cards fill the three positions. | About 3 in 10 cards come up reversed |
Yes / No | All 78 cards, upright and reversed | Random | Counted in the answer, yet never displayed |
One Card | All 78 cards | Shuffled. Twelve face-down cards wait and you choose one. | About half come up reversed |
Daily Tarot | The 22 Major Arcana | Fixed by today’s date. One identical card reaches everyone that day. | None |
Daily Love | All 78 cards | Fixed by your name plus today’s date | None |
Daily Career | All 78 cards | Fixed by your name plus today’s date | None |
Wellness | All 78 cards | Shuffled. Three separate cards: body, mind, spirit. | About 3 in 10 |
Health | All 78 cards | Shuffled. Four separate cards. | About 3 in 10 |
2026 Year Card | All 78 cards | Shuffled. One theme card plus one card for each month. | About 1 in 4 for the theme card, 3 in 10 for the months |
Three rows in that table reward a second look.
The daily readings repeat deliberately. Same name, same day, two draws of Daily Love: the identical card comes back both times. That is the intended behaviour. A daily card should keep you company through the day. Redrawing until one pleases you misses what the card is for.
Yes/No leans toward “no”. It answers “no” somewhat more often than “yes”, and a small share of cards land on “maybe”. A “no” is therefore an ordinary result rather than a bad omen. The card’s meaning deserves your attention more than the one-word answer.
One Card composes its text with AI. Your question reaches an AI model together with the card’s meaning, and the model writes the reading around your own words. Chance still decides the card. Fixed, pre-written meanings appear in the other eight readings, one set per card.
Do free tarot readings get things right?
Not accurate in the sense most people intend. Paid or free, no tarot reading can report what will happen on a particular date, or what passes through another person’s mind. A site that claims otherwise loses my trust, especially one printing “100% accurate” beside the draw button.
Asking whether a reading is useful gets you further. A card acts as a prompt. Something gets named: loss, patience, a choice you keep deferring. You hold that word against your own situation. When the comparison surfaces what you had been avoiding, the reading earned its place. A script-drawn card does that job as well as a hand-drawn one.
My longer treatment of how accurate tarot reading is covers the point where accuracy stops.
Things a free tarot reading can’t tell you
What will happen stays unknown, and so does when it will happen, and so does what another person will decide. Your situation is invisible to the tool. All it knows is the card that came up.
Professionals have no replacement here either. Reflection prompts are what Wellness and Health give you; diagnosis is not on the table. A doctor or qualified counsellor comes first whenever body or mind feels wrong. In India, the Tele-MANAS mental health helpline takes free calls on 14416.
Follow-ups hit a dead end too. A first card that triggers “but what about…” leaves the tool with nothing further to give. A free reading ends at exactly that point.
Free tool or a paid session with Lavanya?
A card and its meaning: the free reading stops there. A session puts you in front of a person who gains nothing from whatever you decide.
What the person adds is this. The first question is rarely the real one, so I can ask what you are actually asking. Cards can be read against each other, against your circumstances, and against anything you say along the way. And when the cards suit your question poorly, I say that plainly.
Reading professionally has been my work since 2019, across over 4,000 private sessions. The GHP Mental Health Awards gave me Best Tarot Reader in India 2025, and 200+ five-star Google reviews sit on my sessions. Client testimonials are there to read, and how a session works is written out too.
Whenever you feel ready, book a private tarot reading. Fixed prices, listed completely.
Thinking of reading the cards yourself?
Regular returns to these tools often mean you could read on your own. All 78 cards have meanings upright and reversed, and cards shift each other’s meanings inside a spread; both take learning. Asking a question worth answering is a skill in itself.
Learn tarot with Lavanya is where I teach it, a live cohort course in Hindi and English. The method matches my paid sessions, and Chaldean numerology runs alongside the cards.
